There is still time to register for the Virginia Governor’s Conference on Agricultural Trade, scheduled for March 10-11 at the Richmond Marriott.

Speakers at the event will discuss challenges and opportunities for global agriculture and forestry exports.

Gov. Ralph Northam will present trade progress and priorities at the opening day lunch. Other speakers will share presentations on U.S. agricultural trade policies and new trade agreements. Panel discussion topics include economics, commodities and forest products. A reception at the Virginia Executive Mansion will follow the day’s activities.

The post-conference agenda on March 11 features sessions on export readiness, top markets, payment structuring, pricing and freight forwarding.

The 12th annual conference is sponsored and hosted by Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, the Virginia Port Authority and Virginia Tech’s Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.

Registration is open on the conference website through March 4.
