Prepare yourself for a holly jolly evening of laughs Friday, December 20, 2024, as the Funny Womacks & Friends (FWAF, formerly X2 Comedy) return to Court Square Theater (CST).

The Home for the Holidays Comedy Show features a baker’s dozen of talented comedians offering a blend of wit, charm and laughter. Plus, catch candy canes from host Kyle Remnant throughout the evening.

The 7:30 p.m. show will feature a popular lineup of all-local comedians: Dawn & Chris Womack (aka The Funny Womacks), Chris Cabral, Margie Clement, Kacey Damaty, Dennis Lee, Lightning Lucas, Dawn Mast, Kyle Remnant, Sam Spears, Erin Staebell, Travis Valle and local legend Jay Zehr.

Tickets are $20 per person ($30 at door) and available online. For group discounts, call 540-433-9189. Doors open at 7 p.m.

FWAF provides high-quality clean (PG-13) shows featuring talented national touring, regional and local comedians; as well as providing classes for beginning comics and helping established comedians progress in their careers.

Known as The Funny Womacks, Dawn and Chris Womack are the dynamic local comedy couple behind FWAF. By day, Chris teaches Kinesiology at JMU and Dawn hosts Virginia Is for Laughers, a podcast about all things non-hiking in the Shenandoah Valley. Dawn brings a warmth, charm and “we are family” vibe to the stage, while Chris exposes a witty comedic style paired with a dry sarcastic sense of observational humor.

Court Square Theater is at 41-F Court Square in downtown Harrisonburg and is operated by Arts Council of the Valley (ACV). Programs are supported by 2024 Cultivating the Arts Platinum Sponsors: Eugene Stoltzfus Architects, James McHone Jewelry, Kathy
Moran Wealth Group, Matchbox Realty, and Riner Rentals.
