Waynesboro Public Schools announced via a press release sent to most of the local news media on Monday that it has named a new girls volleyball coach at Waynesboro High School.

You can guess who didn’t get the press release.

Yep.

It would appear that writing articles about the football coach with a criminal record and the new assistant principal who left his last job over sexual-misconduct allegations got us on the naughty list.

This isn’t surprising at all, really.

The folks on Pine Avenue don’t want scrutiny for their questionable hires, so they’re making me out to be the bad guy, which is fine.

I didn’t hire the coach, and I didn’t give a buddy who got run out of town at his last job a lifeline.

It’s hard to imagine an outfit that would make the Augusta County 6 look like open-government advocates, but I think we found it.
