French painter to unveil new Wilson portrait

Renowned French painter Thierry Marquis will unveil his new painting of Woodrow Wilson at an event at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton on Saturday.

The unveiling will be at 11 a.m. in the library’s historic gardens.

Marquis will be at the library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the unveiling and to demonstrate his painting techniques.

The event is a highlight of the library’s Art in the Garden commemoration being held in conjunction with the Historic Garden Week house tours in Virginia.
