kuran-iversonFishburne Military School senior Kuran Iverson was selected to the East All-Star roster for the April 13 Jordan Brand Classic prep basketball showcase.

Iverson, who has signed a letter-of-intent to play at Memphis next year, is averaging 17.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game for the third-ranked Caissons postgraduate team.

The 6’10”, 210-pounder from Windsor, Conn., the #31 recruit in the ESPN 100 top recruits in the nation in the Class of 2013, is shooting 50 percent from the field and 30 percent from the three-point line.

Iverson joins a star-studded field in the Jordan Classic that includes five Kentucky recruits, the top 10 players in the ESPN 100, and the nation’s #1 and #2 recruits, Andrew Wiggins (uncommitted) and Jabari Parker (Duke).

“This year’s roster could be one of the most talented in the 12 years of the Jordan Brand Classic,” said Larry Miller, president of Jordan Brand.

The game will be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, and will be televised live on ESPN2.
