Exchange Club wants … you

The Waynesboro Exchange Club is opening its doors – inviting business leaders to join them in making the country a better for place for all. As part of the nation’s most established service organization, Exchange Club members are business and professional leaders working with families and fellow citizens to improve the quality of life in hundreds of communities – including Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County. Whether it’s supporting educational efforts, cleaning up the environment or reaching out to a less fortunate child, Exchange Club members are high achievers who want to make a real difference in the world around them.

The Waynesboro chapter is hosting two opportunities for guests to get an introduction to the local club – on June 2 and June 16. The meetings will give local businesspeople the opportunity to learn more about the club and see how meetings are conducted. The meetings will begin at 6 p.m. at South River Grill. The goal of the membership drive is to recruit 15 new members to the club.

Unlike many service organizations in the area that meet in the morning or at lunchtime, the Waynesboro Exchange Club meets at night, providing an exciting opportunity for those who find it difficult to get away during the day, and it can easily fit your lifestyle, no matter how busy you are. The group meetings on the first and third Monday of each month.

The Waynesboro Exchange Club believes in serving the community – with youth scholarships, service awards for firefighters and police, child abuse prevention awareness efforts and a Christmas party for children. The club, chartered by the National Exchange Club in September 1946, is active in providing services to the areas of Waynesboro, Staunton and Augusta County.
