Kaine to tour Charlottesville small businesses Friday, host roundtable

U.S.  Sen. Tim Kaine will attend a canvass launch and phone bank at the Democratic Party of Virginia Coordinated Campaign office in Charlottesville to fire up volunteers for Democrats up and down the ticket.

Kaine is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate in November’s election. This year he marks 30 years of serving in elected office.

Tomorrow he will also go on a small business tour, stopping at Marie Bette Cafe & Bakery, 2nd Act Books, La Flor Michoacana Ice Cream Shop and Heart and Soul Fitness Center to discuss how he is standing up for small business owners across the Commonwealth. At the final stop, Heart and Soul Fitness, Kaine will host a small business roundtable with small business owners and local business leaders.

On Friday, July 26, 2024, Kaine’s tour of Charlottesville will begin with Canvass Launch for Democratic Party of Virginia Coordinated Campaign from noon to 1 p.m. at 1410 Incarnation Drive, Suite 203

From 1:15 to 1:30 p.m., he will visit Marie Bette Cafe & Bakery, 700 Rose Hill Drive.

From 1:45 to 2 p.m., he will visit 2nd Act Books at 214 East Main Street, followed by La Flor Michoacana Ice Cream Shop, 601 Cherry Avenue from 2:15 to 2:30 p.m. and ending with a Small Business Roundtable from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Heart and Soul Fitness, 818 Cherry Avenue.
