Eggstravaganza Easter Festival to draw hundreds

staunton2editsThe Staunton Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its annual Eggstravagnza on Saturday, April 19th at the Soccer Complex in historic Montgomery Hall Park.

This is a change in location from last year and the organizers believe this will enhance the participant experience by providing ample parking and easier access. Join us for the Annual Grand Egg Hunts and Eggstravaganza Festival complete with 4,000 candy-filled eggs. The event begins at 9am and includes a moonbounce, old-fashioned egg coloring, baby lambs from the Frontier Culture Museum, light refreshments, arts and crafts activities, and face painting. The Grand Egg Hunts begin at 10am with 4 egg hunts split into age groupings.

Egg Hunt Ages/Times are: 2-3 years at 10; 4-5 years at 10:30, 6-7 years at 11; 8-10 years at 11:30am.

The event co-sponsors are Frontier Culture Museum, Food Lion on Coalter Street and Cash’s Convenience. The Montgomery Hall Soccer Complex is located in Montgomery Hall Park. Take the second Park entrance and veer left at the fork in the road. The event and all activities are free. Parents are encouraged to arrive early to register, in order to avoid delaying the egg hunts. For more information please call (540)332-3945.
