On April 14, 15 members and staff persons from East Rockingham Senior Center enjoyed a field trip to Valley Mall. Fifteen Center members got their daily exercise walking through Valley Mall. Several members took advantage of the opportunity to do some much needed shopping.
Following the trip to the mall, Members enjoyed lunch at Golden Corral. Cindy Dove, Center Director, was able to secure a discounted rate of $6 for the meal and beverage. Lunch was enjoyable and the conversation was focused on nutritional eating habits.
Due to the transition in Center Directors and cold winter weather Center members have not been able to participate in any activities outside the Center for quite a while, therefore this trip was a welcome change of scenery and ended on a positive note for all.
