Dream Job Academy founder Pete Leibman to speak at Bridgewater College

Pete Leibman, the author of I Got My Dream Job and So Can You: 7 Steps to Creating Your Ideal Career After College, will speak at Bridgewater College on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Cole Hall.

Like many job-seekers, Pete Leibman initially struggled to transition from college to career. However, he persevered and beat out hundreds of more experienced candidates to land his dream job to work for an NBA franchise when he was only 21.

Less than two years later, he was promoted into management for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, where he managed and trained entry-level staff, while being ranked as the franchise’s number one Salesperson of the Year for three straight seasons.

He is the creator of the Washington Wizards Sports Careers Day. The annual event focuses on exposing interested students to career opportunities within professional sports.

Leibman is the founder of Dream Job Academy, which helps students and young professionals get their dream jobs and achieve greater success and satisfaction in their careers.

Today, Leibman’s mission is to inspire students and young professionals to land their dream jobs after college.

The program is sponsored by Bridgewater College’s office of career services and is open to the public at no charge.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to approximately 1,750 undergraduate students.
