staunton2editsThe Staunton Augusta Art Center is hosting the first annual downtown craft beer and craft festival Saturday, September 27, 1-6pm at its headquarters in the garden of the R. R. Smith Center for History and Art (20 S. New Street) and along Barristers Row in historic downtown Staunton.

The admission cost of $10 includes one beer; additional beer and cider will be sold for $4 per drink.  Cash is preferred.  Proceeds benefit the non-profit Staunton Augusta Art Center.

Area bands are donating their time and talent and will play in the garden.  In order of appearance, they are The Plumbley Jazz Quartet, Bourbon Barrel Congress, Hound Dog Hill, and The Findells.  Virginia Eagle Distributing is helping organize the event.  Participating breweries include Bold Rock Cider, Devils Backbone, Starr Hill, and Three Brothers.  Unique art and craft experiences will be provided along Barristers Row.  Delicious Dishe food truck will be on-site and a number of restaurants are nearby.
