Julie Pierantoni, RMH Diabetes Educator, presented information about diabetes to 20 members of Timberville Broadway Senior Center and Price Rotary Senior Center on Sept. 11.
Julie talked about the benefits of tracking Blood Glucose numbers and how that assists Doctors in adjusting insulin. She also brought some visual examples of how blood glucose levels affect circulation and cells in the body. The program was concluded with a question and answer time for the members questions. The members also had the opportunity to have their sugar levels checked by Julie. Out of the 20 that participated in the program, 16 chose to be checked.
