Virginia State Police: One dead in single-vehicle crash in Botetourt County

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Route 220 in Botetourt County on Monday.

The 72-year-old driver died at the scene. The name of the driver has not been released until next of kin is notified.

A 2021 Nissan ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment and overturned at 6:49 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
