Cumberland County man dead, found Monday with multiple gunshot wounds

A 63-year-old Cumberland County man was found dead in his home, and Virginia State Police have stepped in to investigate what it calls a “suspicious death.”

Andrew M. Jackson, of Columbia, was located deceased at his residence in the 1400 block of Columbia Road on Monday.

The preliminary investigation found Jackson died as the result of multiple gunshot wounds.

Virginia State Police is asking anyone with information related to this incident to contact (540) 444-7784. Phone calls are anonymous.

The investigation is ongoing.
