The Crabtree Falls trail in Nelson County will be closed to the public on Wednesday from sunrise until noon for first responder training.

The Forest Service is hosting training in conjunction with Wintergreen Fire and Rescue.

“We know how much the public treasures Crabtree Falls. Because of its high use, it’s imperative that we provide opportunities for first responders to prepare for emergency situations,” said Glenwood-Pedlar District Ranger Lauren Stull.

The trail will reopen to the public at noon.
