Donald McEachinCongressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced $16,486,972 in grant funding to support the Virginia Health Department’s work to carry out the Ryan White CARE Act, which serves to improve care for those with AIDS.

“While we have come a long way in our fight against the scourge of AIDS, access to the expensive drugs and the chronic medical care may still be lacking,” said Congressman Donald McEachin (VA-04). “Funds for the Ryan White CARE program, which has demonstrated success for almost two decades, will help with meeting those needs.”

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), housed under the Department of Health and Human Services, awarded this grant.
