Jackson Kenyon has joined the staff of UVA Basketball coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton as the director of scouting and player development.
Kenyon replaces Abby Emmert, who returned to Missouri State, where she had played for Agugua-Hamilton, to serve as an assistant on the staff of Beth Cunningham, who was hired to succeed Agugua-Hamilton in 2022.
Kenyon comes to UVA after serving as video coordinator for the Winthrop women’s basketball program last season.
“I am happy to announce the addition of Jackson,” Agugua-Hamilton said. “He came highly recommended to us as a young go-getter. After gaining experience in college athletics as an undergrad at Miami-Ohio, Jackson was able to land a video coordinator position at Winthrop right after he graduated. He brings positive energy to our program and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing our culture. We are excited to have him.”
A native of Deerfield, Ill., Kenyon earned a business from Miami University in 2023. After serving as a student manager for the men’s program his freshman year, Kenyon joined the Redhawks’ roster as a junior and played for two seasons (2021-2023) as a forward. He also interned in Miami’s athletic communications department in 2022.
