Clifton Forge: Moped operator dead after crash on Jefferson Avenue

The operator of a moped has died after a crash on Jefferson Avenue in Clifton Forge at 12:37 p.m. today.

Brandon Justice Taylor, 36, of Clifton Forge, was transported to LewisGale Hospital Alleghany where he later died, according to Virginia State Police.

Taylor’s 2024 JDMC Vino 50 was traveling south on Jefferson Avenue when the moped ran off the right side of the roadway and struck the guardrail, ejecting him. The accident occurred near Kensington Avenue.

The crash remains under investigation.
