City of Waynesboro Stormwater Program to host second annual South River Family Fall Day

Contributors

waynesboroThe City of Waynesboro Stormwater Program’s South River Family Fall Day ’15 is a one-day event taking place on Saturday, September 12,from 11 am until 3 pm at Ridgeview Park located at 700 S. Magnolia Drive, just off of Rosser Avenue & 13th Street.

This will mark the second year that staff has invited the public to enjoy the S. River and learn that we have an effect both on the health of the river and people and other waterways downstream.  Kids can examine “Stream Critters” as a part of river monitoring, participate with their families in a scavenger hunt, discover what’s “Under the City” and how it affects the river, and have fun with art activities.

Parents can learn the city’s Stormwater Program and how to integrate eco-friendly activities into their home-life. Kids and adults can take a chance on our free raffle with river themed prizes.
