City of Staunton to collect heavy trash April 20-24

staunton2editsWHAT: The City of Staunton will provide heavy trash, brush and limb collection during one week in April. Residents may dispose of large, bulky items such as old appliances, furniture, household goods, and yard waste. Excluded are hazardous waste items, car batteries, oil-based paint, pesticides, stumps, rocks, concrete, old vehicles, building materials and tires.

WHEN: Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24.  Residents wishing to take advantage of this service must place all items curbside by 7:30 a.m., Monday, April 20.

ELECTRONICS AND TIRES: Tires and electronic equipment may be taken to the Gypsy Hill Park Football Stadium parking lot for disposal between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Any electronic equipment, including televisions, computers, and printers will be accepted. Tires must be off the rim, and residents are limited to four (4) per household. Only car and pickup tires will be accepted. There will be no curbside pickup of tires; they must be delivered to the drop off site at Gypsy Hill Park.
