City of Staunton announces schedule changes due to July 4 holiday

staunton2editsThe City of Staunton’s administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. Refuse and recycling collections regularly scheduled for July 3 have been rescheduled.

Regular hours of operation at Staunton city offices will resume at 8 a.m., Monday, July 6.

Residential refuse and recycling regularly scheduled for pickup on Friday, July 3 will instead be collected on Wednesday, July 1. Downtown Central Business District (CBD) customers will receive refuse and cardboard collection on Wednesday, July 1 and refuse collection on Saturday, July 4 as normally scheduled.

Customers are reminded that items for recycling can be taken to the City’s remote recycling site located at the football stadium parking lot in Gypsy Hill Park.
