Chris Graham: It has to end at some point, doesn’t it?

stopthepresses-newHi, God, it’s me, Chris. It’s OK that I say that lady doesn’t speak for you, I hope.

Eh, there I go, trying to speak for you myself.

Sorry for that. I’m human, and therefore prideful.

It’s just that I can’t get Luke 6:27-36 out of my head, which is odd, you know, considering how I’ve become pretty much an agnostic, if even that anymore.

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.Do to others as you would have them do to you.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”

That’s all still valid, right?

Love your enemy, do good to them, be merciful.

That’s what I get out of it all.

Maybe it’s just me.

Probably is just me.

Because from what I gather in the here and now, I’m supposed to pick a team, and then hate the people on the other teams.

That’s why I’ve gone the agnostic route of late, of late being the last many years.

Sorry for that.

Just having a hard time picking a team, with all the hate going back and forth.

I guess I figure, if I just don’t pick a team, I don’t have to play the game.

But that’s not working, either.

Which is why I said something today.

It has to end at some point, doesn’t it?

The hate, that is.

Hi, God, it’s me, Chris. Tell me that it has to stop.
