Chesterfield County: Tractor trailer catches fire, causes traffic snarls on I-95

If you are planning to travel on Interstate 95 in Chesterfield County today, you may face some delays after a vehicle fire this morning.

A tractor trailer carrying lime overturned and caught fire underneath the Coxendale Road overpass at the 62 mile marker, according to Virginia State Police.

The accident occurred at 6:46 a.m. when the tanker went of the right side of the interstate behind a jersey wall.

The driver of the tanker trailer, Charles Elliot, 38, of Maryland, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Elliot faces charges of reckless driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
