Charlottesville Police investigating early-morning shooting: One injured

A 33-year-old man is in stable condition at the UVA Medical Center after a reported shooting in the 100 block of East Market Street in Charlottesville early Sunday morning.

The shooting was reported to Charlottesville Police at 1:38 a.m., according to a report from the PD.

Officers were patrolling in the area of the 100 block of East Market St when they were flagged down by a citizen who advised that his friend had just been shot, according to the report.

Police are saying the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
