If you have to find a fill-in, Mary Chapin Carpenter isn’t a bad one to get lined up and ready to go.
Carpenter will perform at the Fortune Williams Music Festival in Staunton on Sunday – filling in for Billy Joe Shaver, who had to cancel his scheduled appearance for medical reasons.
Carpenter will be accompanied by longtime guitar player and collaborator John Jennings and some special guests.
