Bridge work continues on Route 988 in Rockingham County

road-work-headerThe bridge over Pleasant Run on Route 988 (Scholars Road) in Rockingham County is closed for bridge work. Closure of all lanes at the bridge began on May 26 and is scheduled to conclude on June 17. Intermittent lane closures will continue past June 17 with completion on June 21. Motorists should use caution when driving through this area.

A detour is set up using Route 988 to Route 704 (Cecil Wampler Road) to Route 898 (Pleasant Drive) to Route 679 (Pleasant Valley Road) to Route 680 (Oak Ridge Road) to Route 988.

All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
