20th_meeting02[1]Augusta Health will celebrate its 20th anniversary in September, and many community events have been planned.

In addition free health screenings at Lifetime Fitness from 3-7 pm on September 10 and September 18 and a Hospital Open House from 3-7 pm on September 24, the Augusta Health Foundation will host its first fund-raising gala on September 12 at the former Moss Museum in Waynesboro.  Tickets are $100 per person, and proceeds from the gala will benefit the Augusta Health Cancer Center’s Bridge Fund for patients.

The Gala Planning Committee has been working for several months on the event.  They are (left to right) Sarah Scott, Tami Radecke, Barbara Franklin, Debbie Metz, Jean Wade, Kathleen Heatwole, Karen Santos, Doris Clark, Omar Morgan, Arlene Macellaro, Kathy Mahnesmith and Gretchen Long.  Missing from the photo are Christi Coiner, Virginia Gillock, Brett Hayes, Nancy Kyler and Laurie Landes.

For more information about the Gala, or to register for the event, please contact the Augusta Health Foundation at 540.332.5174.

The month will end with an Open House celebrating Augusta Health’s newest facility—the Waynesboro Outpatient Center—on Lew Dewitt Boulevard on Saturday, September 27 from 9 am – 12 noon.
