
During the slope repairs, variable message boards will advise commercial trucks to use the following alternate route between Churchville in Augusta County and Monterey in Highland County:
- From Churchville to Monterey: South on Route 42 (Buffalo Gap Highway/Little Calfpasture Highway/Virginia Avenue), west on Route 39 (Maury River Road/Mountain Valley Road), and north on Route 220 (Sam Snead Highway/Jackson River Road) to return to Route 250.
- From Monterey to Churchville: South on Route 220 (Jackson River Road/Sam Snead Highway), east on Route 39 (Mountain Valley Road/Maury River Road), and north on Route 42 (Virginia Avenue/Little Calfpasture Highway/Buffalo Gap Highway) to return to Route 250.
