Augusta County: Open house to highlight funding opportunities for farmers

The Middlebrook Fire Company is playing host to an Agricultural Cost Share Community Open House on Thursday beginning at 9 a.m.

The free event features speakers from Headwaters SWCD, USDA-NRCS, USDA-FSA, Virginia Cooperative Extension, the Virginia Small Farm Outreach Program and the Virginia Department of Forestry.

The focus will be on sharing with farmers all the funding opportunities that may be available to them.

A free lunch will immediately follow.

The Middlebrook Fire Company is located at 54 Cherry Grove Road, Middlebrook.
