Augusta County investigating homicide at motel near Waynesboro

augusta countyNot a lot of details yet, but a report from Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith early Sunday has his office investigating a reported homicide at a hotel near Waynesboro.

In an email, Smith detailed that deputies were dispatched to the Skyline Motel at 2497 Jefferson Highway, just outside the Waynesboro city limits, at 1:09 a.m. Sunday.

They found a deceased male at the location, and a homicide investigation is ongoing, according to Smith.

Two females and two males, names not released, have been detained for questioning. The identity of the victim has also not been released at this time.
