Augusta County honors Josh Graves as deputy of the year

augusta county deputy of the yearJosh Graves was named Deputy of the Year at the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office for 2015.

Graves has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office since December 2013. Prior to his employment, he served as a United States Marine and is a combat veteran having served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Currently Graves is assigned to the patrol and SWAT divisions within the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

“His work ethic, discipline to the department, and his professionalism to his co-workers, family, and the citizens of Augusta County is why I am honored to announce him for this prestigious award,” Sheriff Donald Smith said. “Deputy Graves is an asset to this office and our community, and I thank him for his hard work, diligence, and integrity that he shows on a daily basis. I am very proud to work alongside him and have him a part of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office family.
