Augusta County: Airport to conduct full-scale disaster drill on Saturday

If you notice an increased police presence in Augusta County on Saturday, don’t be alarmed.

The Shenandoah Valley Airport in Weyers Cave will conduct a full-scale disaster drill starting at 9 a.m.

The drill will simulate a mass casualty event at the airport to allow first responders and airport staff an opportunity to put their response plan into action.

The airport says the drill is essential for the airport’s emergency readiness.
