nationals_logoA.J. Pierzynski hit a pair of solo homers off Tanner Roark, lifting the Atlanta Braves to a 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.

Trea Turner hit his first career homer in the sixth.

Roark (4-7, 4.63 ERA) gave up two runs on five hits in six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

Matt Wisler (7-8, 5.11 ERA) went seven innings, giving up a run on five hits, striking out four and walking two.

Bryce Harper was 0-for-3 at the plate, lowering his National League-leading batting average to .334.
