Two men face armed-robbery charges in connection with an incident reported at the 7-Eleven at the intersection of King and Ivy in Waynesboro Tuesday night.

Jeremy Lamont Brown, 23, of Lyndhurst, and Daryl Shondell Washington, 34, of Waynesboro, are both charged with armed robbery. Brown is also charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, buying/receiving a stolen firearm and removing a serial number from a firearm.

The incident was reported around 11:40 p.m. and involved the two men charged and two male victims in the parking lot at the 7-Eleven. According to a Waynesboro Police Department report, the victims were in or arround two vehicles on the lot conversing when the two suspects approached from the direction of Four Star Pizza. One suspect approached victim #1 on the driver’s side of his car, and after asking his name pointed a small silver gun at his head, while the second suspect attempted to enter his car on the passenger side. After brief conversation and a malfunction of the weapon, the suspect took the victim’s driver’s license and the driver took off, fleeing the area.

The suspects then alllegedly turned their attention to victim #2, who was standing outside of his car when the suspect with the gun brandished it towards him in a threatening manner as his partner entered the vehicle and took the car keys and a cell phone. The keys were returned, but the cell phone was not.
