Charlottesville: UVA hosting anti-gun violence rally planned for Saturday

A number of community leaders, organizations and activists will gather Saturday for an anti-gun violence ride and rally in Charlottesville.

The Peace Up, Guns Down: Ride and Rally Calling for an End to Gun Violence is hosted by UVA Batten’s Public Engagement in Governance Looking, Listening & Learning Lab.

The event, part of a conflict resolution and violence reduction summit, will start at 12:30 p.m. with the Rally of Rides featuring classic cars.

The Rally of Rides car processional will begin at the Jefferson School Center parking lot at 233 4th Street NW. It will end at the Boys & Girls Club at 1000 Cherry Ave. in Charlottesville.
