Alex Mortensen of University of Nebraska- Omaha will be playing for the Waynesboro Generals this summer. On May 2nd, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced that Alex has been selected for the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Baseball Team for District 7. These teams recognize the nation’s top student‐athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Alex is Omaha’s fourth academic all-district selection in baseball program history and the first to garner such recognition as a Division I student-athlete. Congratulations, Alex!
