A registered sex offender and alleged gang member on supervised probation removed his ankle monitor last week, and the quick response by police led to his arrest.
Joshua Pritchett, 41, of Albemarle County, was taken into custody Sept. 6 by Charlottesville Police detectives and officers within 15 minutes of the removal.
Detectives travelled to the man’s last known location to apprehend him. He was taken into custody without incident.
His damaged ankle monitor was also located by police.
Pritchett is held at the Charlottesville Albemarle Regional Jail.
