Albemarle County: Rosemont Drive home sustains fire damage Monday night

Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to heavy fire conditions in a garage of a single-family home on Rosemont Drive Monday night.

All residents who were home at the time of the fire were able to evacuate safely. There were no injuries reported.

Career and volunteer units responded just before midnight to a structure fire in the 500 block of Rosemont Drive.

The first fire suppression unit arrived on the scene 13 minutes after dispatch.

Crews have contained the fire and remain on scene to prevent flare-ups.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office.
