Albemarle County | Police investigating hit-and-run involving child

Albemarle County Police are searching for a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run that sent a child to UVA Health for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred between 7:10 and 7:25 a.m. at the intersection of Porters Road and King Solomons Lane in Esmont, according to the ACPD.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark blue sedan. Police are asking the public to come forward with any information that may lead to locating the suspect vehicle in this incident.

Anyone who was traveling in this area is encouraged to check their dash cam footage.

Anyone with information or who may have captured footage is asked to contact Officer Sprouse at 434-296-5807.
