Albemarle County Police release name of homicide victim

Update: Wednesday, 4:08 p.m. The homicide victim from this morning’s incident at Timberland Park Apartments has been identified as 42-year-old Jermaine Marcus Amos of Charlottesville.

ACPD considers this to be an isolated incident. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Detective Philip Giles at 434-296-5808 or Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000 or [email protected].

This remains an ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released when available.

 

Original story: Wednesday, 8:15 a.m. Albemarle County Police are investigating a homicide at the Timberland Apartments off Old Lynchburg Road reported on Wednesday at 1:20 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing and the name of the victim is not being released until the next of kin have been notified.

Police are treating this as an isolated incident and are asking anyone with information regarding this case to call Detective Philip Giles at 434-296-5808 or Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
