Albemarle County home declared a total loss after Monday morning fire

A single-story home on Forest View Road in Albemarle County is a total loss after a fire early this morning.

Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to a 4:06 a.m. call for a structure fire and the first fire suppression unit arrived at the home nine minutes after dispatch.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

The residence was unoccupied, and there were no injuries, according to the Albemarle County Department of Fire Rescue.

The investigation is being led by the Albemarle County Fire Marshals Office.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
