Advanced directives focus of presentation in Highland

advanced directivesWhat are advanced directives, and why are they important for me and my family?

The topic will be the focus of a presentation in the Mountain View Room, Highland Public Library, Monterey, on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 3-5 p.m.

Advanced directives are  legal documents to direct future health care in the event that you become incapable of making informed decisions. These documents will make your wishes and decisions known to family members and health care providers. They can be a blessing to families in a time of crisis as it alleviates the burden of decision making.

Come and hear about the different types of advanced directives and how they may be beneficial for you and your family members. Forms and a notary will be available for anyone in attendance.

Program presenters will be Dr. Brenda Lindsey and Ashley Smith from Mountain Regional Hospice, Clifton Forge. Sponsored by Highland County Respite Care.
