the paramountSince the blizzard of 2016 decided not to play nice, The Paramount Theater has added an additional screening Labyrinth this Sunday, January 31 at 7:00PM.

All previous tickets purchased will be honored with additional tickets available for purchase for this screening.  All ticketing questions can be directed to the Box Office: 434.979.1333 (M-F 10AM-2PM).

This special screening of the 1986 cult classic movie Labyrinth [PG] is a tribute to the late David Bowie who passed away on January 10 of cancer. “David Bowie’s incomparable sound and chameleon-like ability to reinvent himself made him a pop music fixture for more than four decades,” as stated on CNN.

Labyrinth is a 1986 American adventure fantasy film directed by Jim Henson, executive produced by George Lucas, and based upon conceptual designs by Brian Froud. The film stars David Bowie as Jareth and Jennifer Connelly as Sarah. The plot revolves around 15-year-old Sarah’s quest to reach the center of an enormous otherworldly maze to rescue her infant brother Toby, who has been kidnapped by Jareth, the Goblin King. With the exception of Bowie and Connelly, most of the significant characters in the film are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
