Week 1 of the 2024 college football season wraps Monday night with an ACC showdown between No. 10 Florida State and Boston College.

The Seminoles dropped their season opener in Week 0 to Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland, as part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, while Boston College will be making its season debut.

The game between Boston College and Florida State is the only conference game throughout FBS football in Week 1.

Preview: Boston College looks to begin the Bill O’Brien era with a statement victory in conference play. O’Brien, who previously led Penn State and the NFL’s Houston Texans, inherits an Eagles team that went 7-6 in 2023, including a Fenway Bowl victory. The Seminoles look to bounce back after falling to Georgia Tech, 24-21, in the season opener. All eyes will be on the quarterbacks – Florida State’s DJ Uiagalelei and Boston College’s Thomas Castellanos – who have each at least 18 games of experience under their belt. Florida State has dominated Boston College since 2010, winning 12 of the last 13 meetings. However, four of the last five games have been decided by one score.
