book-clipart.jpgThe Waynesboro Public Library will be celebrating its patrons on April 15.

Patron Appreciation Day is being held as part of National Library Week, which runs from April 13-19.

“During the National Library Week, communities across America celebrate and visit their local libraries. We thought that it is appropriate for us to express our gratitude to our loyal patrons for their continued support and making valuable use of the library resources,” library director Zahir Mahmoud said.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., patrons can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the library, meet members of the library’s board of trustees and attend information sessions on technology-based services at the library.

A storyteller will provide special entertainment throughout the day, and refreshments will be served throughout as well.

Another highlight will be public forums at noon and 3 p.m. to provide information about the planned library expansion.

For more information about Patron Appreciation Day, call the library at 540.942.6746.
