Update on Steve Austin: Will he ever get in the ring again?

Chris Graham

stone coldStone Cold Steve Austin hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 19. There has been a lot of talk about Stone Cold making a return to the ring at WrestleMania 30.

Don’t bank on it. Talk backstage is that Austin has told friends that he noticed in his brief forays into the ring during filming of the WWE Tough Enough series a few years ago that the toll of injuries that he had suffered during his run in WWE was worse than he’d expected.

At age 49 now, Austin is already well past his prime physically, and aside from those few bumps incurred during Tough Enough, and the occasional delivery of a Stone Cold Stunner, he’s been injury-free for going on 11 years.

Don’t expect Austin to give up his health and comfort for one last match to add to a legacy that is already more than secure.
