When: Friday, April 4 at 7:30pm
Where: 329 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Va
Tickets: $10 (in advance)  |  $12 (at the door)

No one can fault Richard Adams for failing to make the most imaginative combinations for his monthly Variety Show.  “You get your money’s worth in the first five minutes and the rest is free,” said one loyal patron.

The April performance will once again surprise and delight the audience with a spectacular array of talent from singer/ukulele dude, Lawton Tufts, storyteller Rosemarie Harper, and songwriter Andi Groah to country philosopher Johnny Stoll.  All wrapped together with Richard’s famous audience participation sequences.  The Variety Show is Friday, April 4th at 7:30 pm at WTA’s Gateway, 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

Returning to the Variety Show will be Rosemarie Harper, a noted actor from the Charlottesville area and regular with the Earl Hamner Theatre.  Rosemarie has written two short scenes/stories which she will perform. “She’s a natural”, says Adams. Also on the program is Johnny Stoll a country philosopher who will be hypothesizing about profound questions like the meaning of life.

Rounding out the musical attractions will be Andi Groah and Lawton Tufts.  Andi is a singer/songwriter who will be making her first appearance at the Variety Show.  Lawton is an attorney with the Public Defender’s Office in Charlottesville.  When he is not in the courtroom, Lawton can be found performing at small venues throughout the Valley and busking with his guitar and ukulele out on the streets.  Lawton charms audiences with unique takes on songs from every genre and every decade.

Once again Richard and his co-host Bill Martin will encourage the audience to take part in Richard’s segments that highlight the audience’s special talents.

The Richard Adams Variety Show is sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge.

Advance tickets for Richard Adams Variety Show are $10 and are available online at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the box office (540-943-9999).  Remaining tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the performance for $12. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.  The April 4th performance will start at 7:30 pm at WTA’s Gateway at 329 W. Main St. downtown Waynesboro, VA.
