
Brogdon, who shared this week’s honor with North Carolina’s Marcus Paige, averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and one steal per game as Virginia nailed down the ACC regular-season title with a pair of wins.
Brogdon tallied a career-high 19 points, five rebounds and five assists as Virginia defeated then-No. 4 Syracuse 75-56 on Saturday to clinch its sixth ACC regular-season championship (second outright) and the No. 1 seed in next week’s ACC Tournament.
Earlier in the week, Brogdon added 15 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the Cavaliers’ 65-40 win over Miami. Overall, he was 9-of-21 from the floor and 15-of-15 from the foul line in the two wins. Brogdon is the only ACC player to score in double figures in every league game this season.
No. 5 Virginia closes out the regular season at Maryland on Sunday, March 9. Tipoff at Comcast Center is set for 12 p.m. and the game will be televised by CBS.
