Our Community Christmas Concert Dec. 3 in Harrisonburg

The Our Community Christmas Concert is set for Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Park View Mennonite Church, 1600 College Ave., in Harrisonburg.

Calendar 2013Special chef-prepared desserts will be served with other refreshments starting at 6pm; live musical performance begins at 7pm.  Artists from both volumes of the OCP Christmas albums, “Our Christmas Present” will appear live, giving performances of the songs they contributed as well as other festive music.  Those who have agreed to entertain the community include: Trent Wagler, Chris Howdeyshell, Greg Ward, Nicolas Melas Febres, Bob Driver & Trudy Cole, Jesse Trainum, Philip Fisher Rhodes, 3N1, Scott Murray, Special Guest: Kipyn Martin, and more!!

The suggested donation is $20 per patron. This is a family event. Both volumes of the OCP Christmas album will be available for purchase, as well as homemade Boxwood Wreaths made by community members. More information can be found by visitingwww.ourcommunityplace.org/concert/.

All proceeds go to support Our Community Place, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that emerged from the Free Food for All Soup Kitchen previously held at The Little Grill Restaurant since 1992, and opened to the public in 2008.  OCP is dedicated to breaking down barriers that tend to separate humans from the joys to be experienced in loving communities and particularly dedicated to including in its activities those struggling with poverty and difficult life circumstances.
