AFP publishes book for Fishersville columnist Al Dahler

dahler book coverAugusta Free Press LLC announces the publication of Against The Grain: Liberal Notes From An Ultra-Conservative County 2007-2012 written by Fishersville author Al Dahler.

The book is a collection of columns written over the past six years for the opinion page of The News Leader newspaper in Staunton, Va.

“Writing a progressive column in a very conservative environment is a challenge, a challenge I cherished,” said Dahler in his book. “Through writing my columns, I have learned that, even within a dire conservative environment, pockets of liberal hope and enlightenment flourish.”

Augusta Free Press LLC worked with Dahler to convert his columns to a book layout, designed his cover, secured an ISBN and barcode for the author, and worked with the printer to bring this project to completion.

Dahler immigrated into the United States in 1953 from Switzerland. He has co-authored an anthology of social science dissertation abstracts and written articles for numerous scholary journals.
